Situation: Genentech and Roche needed a single source of truth for employee contact information. The Genentech Peeps application needed updated branding, features, and functionality to meet user needs and business goals.
Task:
Perform user needs analysis and add those features to the app while updating information architecture and branding.
Action:
• Perform user research to determine and test most wanted features
• Create designs to incorporate new functionality and current standards
• Art-direct the rebranding and subsequent marketing campaign
• Creation of roadmap to incorporate de-scoped features
Results:
• Application became most popular app in the company with an approval rating above 90%
• 97,000 downloads as of December 2015
• 20,000 returning monthly users
• Google+ integration increased photo usage by more than 50%
